Liripipe hood, white wool, size L
Liripipe hood in white wool.
Heavy felted wool that is very cosy and warm.
Medium and large
The liripipe hood with it´s typical short or long tail is a typical medival piece of clothing that for exemple the Bocksten Man wore. When the wind is hard and the rain is falling heavily it´s rather lovely to pull the liripipe over your head. It is also possible to thread the head in the wrong direction, wrap the tail around the forehead and instead get a Chaperon. This was a common way of waering the garment until the 15th century. Our liripipe hoods are made in a felted wool that provides some water resistance. Wool is the only material that continues to provide warmth even when wet, thats why you are always warm and cosy even if the fabric is wet.
