Before sewn?together trousers became common, the combination of hose and breeches was the standard legwear throughout the Middle Ages.
The breeches are roomy linen underpants that act as the “anchor” of the system. Our model is generously cut for comfort and the right historical silhouette, with openings in the waistband for a belt. The hose are separate wool legs that are tied to that belt, creating a secure fit, great mobility and the period?correct look. Our hose are based on historical examples without attached feet, making them durable and easy to wear with modern shoes.
